Perks of being a blogger

If your looking to start a blog or you already have one but your simply just unmotivated and bored of it, then here's some benefits of having a blog and what it can actually bring!

1. You get to learn
When your a blogger, well your interests are generally to read and write. Reading other blogs will teach you a lot and increase your ideas and thoughts. I've learnt so much from blogging already, I spend so much more time reading blogs than I do writing them. You can read anything you want and get to learn from it too! Not only just the reading and writing, you become a photographer. Your photography improves a lot and also your knowledge on a computer. Before I started my website I could barely change the font of my writing. I can now do so much more, although I struggle sometimes I'm getting there! You basically learn how to design a website and build on it, which is an amazing skill alone!

2. Your more motivated and inspired
In general bloggers are more motivated and so inspirational. I get motivated just from other bloggers alone. It's so great what reading a blog can do, it can change the whole perspective of the way you think.

3. You inspire others
I think any other blogger would agree that reading positive comments about your blog is one of the best feelings ever! Knowing that someone has read your blog and has enjoyed it or even inspired them is so amazing! It happens a lot as well, you get so many lovely comments off people, I love it!

4. You meet other bloggers
You get to socialise more with other bloggers of your niche or even different ones. You make lots of new friends and the Twitter chats are my favourite! I love getting help off other bloggers, they can teach you so much.

5. Your a part of a community
Us bloggers believe it or not are a very strong community. We make sure we stay communicated with each other and have great Twitter chats. It can give you a sense of belonging and make you feel more of a part of a community.

6. You gain confidence
Since I've became a blogger, I've become so much more confident in myself and also with my writing. It's such a great experience.

7. Get a better job
It will be so much easier getting a job. Literally if someone looks at your website and can see with there own eyes how creative and professional you can be, they'd employ you straight away! Especially if there a company wanting more advertisement. This'd look brilliant on a CV.

8. More opportunities
We get invited to events and have a lot of opportunities. Even opportunities to write for a company we love!

9. We get freebies
Being a blogger(especially beauty) we get sent freebies from company's to try them out and write reviews on. Benefits the company and certainly benefits us! I've even heared of people going on holidays for free, free hotels etc, how amazing is that!

10. The money
If you have been blogging for long enough, and your decent enough then believe it or not you can earn a good wage from blogging! Some people are full time bloggers and live off this wage. However this shouldn't be a reason to start blogging, it's just a bonus if you do get far enough to earn money!

11. Build your business
If you have a business you will get a lot more attention with having a blog. It's a great way to advertise your business and become successful.

12. Become a better writer
Your writing skills will develop so much more as well as your spelling, punctuation and grammar.

13. You get to express yourself
Do you ever get the feeling that you just want to explode because your full of ideas? Or is that just writers. Well I get it constantly, I'd be doing something and ideas out of no were pop into my head. It's so good to get it written down on a piece of paper and rant about it later. Also if you ever have anything on your mind it's so good to release that and bring it off your chest, it's therapeutic in a way!

So, there you have it guys! A few benefits of becoming a blogger! If you haven't already started one then I hope this inspires you to do so! If it does please let me know!

Thank you for reading,

Demi.

  4. I love the blogging community - I always feel so supported and welcomed. I have definitely felt more inspired and motivated since I started blogging which has helped a lot with practically everything! It's also meant that I've kept writing in times that I otherwise wouldn't have done due to schoolwork - I've made writing time even when it felt like I couldn't get any in! Starting my blog has definitely been one of the best things I've done!

I love how positive you are in this post - it's really uplifting!

  6. I totally agree, I started my blog because I was in a bit of a rut in my life. Even though I'm not completely out, I feel so inspired with purpose now rather than just feeling sorry for myself.

  11. Hey,

This is a really great read but it's really sad to see that bloggers are joining the blogging world for the freebies :( I've been blogging for over seven years now and it's always been about the freedom of having a place of my own to let people know about great restaurants, new bands and things I think people would love to read!

I also work in blogger outreach, pairing brands with bloggers for reviews, and reading about the freebies would really put me off sending you products or to events as it gives off the feeling that your hearts not really in your writing but you're there for the free stuff!

This isn't meant to be a vicious attack; I'm just sharing my opinions on the post from a personal and professional point of view to help you out :)

    1. Hey! Thank you for reading, I know exactly what you mean. Most people only join for the freebies and for the money these days, but some don't realise that it's not always that easy to make money and get freebies. I only blog to develop my writing skills and I love reading blogs mostly as they inspire me!

      Thank you
