Mac soft and gentle SkinFinish highlighter Review

Mac soft and gentle skin finish highlighter.

Hey ladies! Everyone has been raving about the Mac soft and gentle highlighter recently, and I was shocked when I seen this. I have been using this product for quite a long time, I didn't even know it was a highlighter when I brought it years ago, little did I know of makeup. I just simply applied it everywhere on my cheeks since I've brought it. This is what the girl said to do in the shop and she just said you put it on your face for a natural glow once you've applied your makeup. Little did I know about makeup back then, so I done what she told me and I haven't looked back since.

Positives-
* it leaves a lovely glow on your face.
* It lasts for ages on your face and as a product altogether.
* Right tone for my face.
* Not too much, it couldn't really be overdone as it's very light.

Negatives-
* you can't create a dramatic look if you wanted.
* I think this would only benefit fair skinned people.
* It's quite expensive, I got mine for around £25.

Personally this is one of my all town favourites and it would take a lot for me to change my highlighter. I think it's actually an amazing product and perfect for my skin type.

It's unlike any other product I've ever used and has such a great pigment. There are hints of peach and bronze running through it, I'd say its more pearl/champagne toned with hints of pink in there too. This I find unique and catches my eye straight away. It adds a lot of dimension and glow to your skin, it makes you look a whole lot healthier.

A lot of people have said it's very glittery but in my eyes it's not, so if your not a fan of glitter I'd try before you buy as it mightn't be your thing. In my opinion it's not in actual fact that glittery, it's more of a glow effect you get rather than a glitter effect.

What are your views on the Mac highlighter? Do you love it as much as I do?

  1. I love this highlight, I've been using it donkeys as well. Mine has lasted forever though for using it every day. I agree it isn't as dramatic as some highlights though x

  3. This sounds like a lovely product, it's a shame it's so expensive. My favourite highlighter right now is my Mary Lou Manitizer from The Balm.

I've owned this highlighter for years. A little goes a long way with this! It's definitely a fail safe go to makeup item for a good glow.
